On the agenda: discussions and lectures on innovation
and test-driving new vehicles
Colombes, 19 April 2018 – On 10, 11, 12 and 13 April in Montlhéry, FRAIKIN held thefirst edition of Connection Days, an international event that brought together the group’s teams, strategic partners, customers and prospects.
People and sharing have always been at the heart of FRAIKIN’s success. This congenial event was held in that spirit, with the purpose of highlighting the knowledge and expertise of the Group and its teams. Through one-on-one discussions, lectures on specific topics and vehicle test-drives, attendees got to experience the true FRAIKIN treatment.
The FRAIKIN Group is a European leader in long-term industrial and commercial vehicle leasing. As such, the Group organised this one-of-a-kind international event to underscore its position as a multi-specialist providing the broadest range of services on the market.
In all, more than 800 participants from 15 countries took advantage of the opportunity to finally meet face-to-face with those they work with regularly and to learn more about fundamental issues, of concern both now and in the future. Following is an account of the highlights from this innovative event.
FRAIKIN chose to hold the first iteration of this event at the Linas-Montlhéry race track.

- Explore over 60 vehicles on display, drive the legendary track, both electric and gas vehicles represented, test out on-board telematics.
- Take in 8 lectures and workshops on alternative energies, different kinds of chassis and vehicle features, telematics, hydraulics, cold production, tyre management and safety.
- Meet with the Group’s 27 suppliers and partners in the market: auto manufacturers, coachbuilders and equipment suppliers (MAN, IVECO, RENAULT TRUCKS, MERCEDES TRUCKS, FIAT, OPEL, MERCEDES VANS, RENAULT SAS, MASTERNAUT, BRIDGESTONE, SHELL, TODD, HIAB, FASSI – MARREL, DALBY, JPM, DHOLLANDIA, CARRIER, THERMOKING, GRUAU, LAMBERET, REGNAULT, CAZAUX, FRUEHAUF, CHEREAU, KASSBOHRER, DAF).
“We are fortunate to have built long-term relationships with our partners. We work together, constantly innovating to better serve our customers. With a relationship built on such a solid foundation of trust, co-organising Connection Days was a no-brainer for us”, says Philippe Cuoc, Head of the Group Procurement and the Supply Chain and project lead.
“FRAIKIN is driven by an ambition to provide the best possible support to our customers, offering the services best adapted to their specific needs. Given that motivation, holding an event for our partners, employees and customers to get to know one another was a natural fit for FRAIKIN”, explains Pierre-Louis Colin, CEO of FRAIKIN Group.

About Carrosserie Cazaux
A pioneer in the world of polyester isothermal bodywork in the 1960s, our current experience is reflected in our referencing with many rental companies and manufacturers. We develop our manufacturing and the resulting product by listening to our customers and their requirements. This is undoubtedly why we are recognized today for the “tailor-made” quality.
Today composed of about sixty employees, CARROSSERIE CAZAUX distributes approximately 700 vehicles per year throughout France.
In the 1950s, Jean CHEREAU developed the first refrigerated bodies dedicated to the transport of perishable foodstuffs. The brand quickly established itself by offering isothermal then refrigerated vehicles that have always anticipated administrative regulations and the requirements of road transport companies. Meat, dairy products, fruit and vegetables, flowers, pharmaceutical products must leave their place of production to reach national and international markets under increasingly demanding sanitary conditions. Located since the 1950s in the heart of Mont-Saint-Michel Bay, in Avranches and Ducey, the three CHEREAU production sites cover more than 60,000m² of industrial buildings.
Since the beginning of 2016, the company has joined the Spanish manufacturer SOR, within The Reefer Group, to form the European leader in polyester technology refrigerated bodywork.
The main part of CHEREAU’s production is the manufacture of semi-trailers and refrigerated trucks. The company also offers other products for refrigerated transport such as trailers, removable boxes and commercial vehicles. All of this has a high qualitative added value thanks to the specific patented CHEREAU interior and exterior equipment.
