Meet the team


 

 Ed Cowell – CEO

Ed joined Fraikin in August 2016.  He was previously Group Sales and Marketing Director at Speedy Hire PLC.

 

Ed is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and served in the Army for 16 years.  Key achievements included selection for the Joint Services Advanced Command and Staff Course and he served in Northern Ireland, the Middle East and Africa.  Since leaving the Army Ed has held senior sales and commercial roles at Barclays Plc and G4S Plc where he was the Global Sales Director for G4S Risk Management.

 

He holds an AMBA accredited Master’s degree from Cranfield University.

 Bryn Thomas – CFO

Bryn is an Oxford Graduate who joined Fraikin in early 2016 from Peugeot Citroën Automobiles UK and Ireland, where he worked as Director of Commercial Finance.

 

Bryn had been with the Peugeot Group since 1993 starting in a dealership finance role.  Since then he held a number of commercial and finance-related roles and, from June 2005, Bryn worked as a Director of the PSA Group holding senior roles in both the UK and France.

 

He is an ICAEW qualified accountant and holds a MBA degree from Warwick Business School.

 

 James Walker – Commercial Director

James joined Fraikin in February 2018 and brings with him more than eighteen years’ experience within the commercial vehicle contract hire, rental, fleet management and asset finance sectors – most recently with Ryder, where he was Sales Director from 2013 to 2018.

 

He began his career as a change management consultant working with tier one automotive suppliers to improve their supply chains and logistics systems.

 

He has an Engineering degree from Southampton University.

 

 Henry Horsfall – Human Resources Director

Henry was appointed to the HR Director role in February 2017 after joining Fraikin in 2012 as the HR Manager.

 

The HR Director role at Fraikin is charged with supporting Organisational Development ensuring as an organisation Fraikin has the right People with the right skill set to support our business ambitions.

 

Henry obtained his CIPD qualification in 2011 and brings with him a number of years HR experience from within the logistics industry having previously worked for Unipart Technology Logistics and Wincanton PLC.

 Danny Alexander – Head of Transformation

Danny is an Oxford Graduate who joins us from PA Consulting Group where he worked as a consultant on projects covering Business Transformation, Agility and Lean process improvements.

 

Danny is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and served in the Army for 10 years.  Key achievements included selection for specialist roles on operations and selection to train fellow officers.  Since leaving the Army Danny has held senior roles at Adam Smith International, as Programme Manager for a multi-million pound multi-year organisational change programme, and at PA Consulting, where he led and advised on several multi-million pound change programmes.

 

Danny holds an MA(Oxon) and an MSc from Oxford University, and is qualified in Agile, Lean, Project Management and IT Service Management.

 

 Angelo Taliadouros – Head of Sales Operations

Angelo joined Frakin in February 2018 from Ryder Limited.

 

Angelo has over twenty years’ financial and commercial experience in the fleet services industry including capital pricing, bid management, field commercial management, sales operations development and strategy.

 

He holds an AMBA accredited MBA degree (Open University) and undergraduate majors in company secretarial practice and accounting.

 Ben Jones – Head of Procurement

Ben joined Fraikin in August 2017 from PACCAR Parts where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of suppliers and commodities across the European truck and trailer parts market.

 

Prior to his time at PACCAR, Ben spent a number of years within the Aerospace industry.   He held a number of supply chain related roles, working his way up from an Assistant Buyer at an aero-engine production site to Supply Chain Manager for a newly established New Product Introduction division of an established Tier 1 manufacturer of critical aero-engine components.

 

He is MCIPS qualified and holds a Master’s degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management from Newcastle University.
