 Ed Cowell – CEO

Ed joins Fraikin from Speedy Hire Plc where he was the Group Sales and Marketing Director and a member of the Group Executive Committee.

 

Ed is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and served in the Army for 16 years.  Key achievements included selection for the Joint Services Advanced Command and Staff Course and he served in Northern Ireland, the Middle East and Africa.  Since leaving the Army Ed has held senior sales and commercial roles at Barclays Plc and G4S Plc where he was the Global Sales Director for G4S Risk Management.

 

He holds an AMBA accredited Masters degree from Cranfield University.
 

 Bryn Thomas – CFO

Bryn is an Oxford Graduate who joins us from Peugeot Citroën Automotive UK and Ireland where he worked as Director of Commercial Finance.

 

Bryn had been with the Peugeot Group since 1993 starting in a dealership finance role.  Since then he has held a number of commercial and finance-related roles, from June 2005 Bryn has worked as a Director of the Peugeot group holding senior roles in both the UK and France.

 

He is an ICAEW qualified accountant and holds a MBA degree from Warwick Business School.
 

 Keith Atkins – Fleet Operations Director

Keith joins Fraikin as Fleet Operations Director and has extensive experience in the commercial vehicle sector as well as technical knowledge in engineering, marketing and sales.

 

He started his career as an apprentice motor vehicle engineer for the City and County of Bristol where he progressed to become Fleet Engineer. Since then Keith has worked for manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and MAN and operators BT Fleet, Kier Group and Eurovia in roles based in the UK and overseas.Latterly, Keith was Group Technical & Compliance Manager at Biffa Group Plc.

 

As Fleet Operation Director Keith will focus on improving Fraikin’s already impressive vehicle compliance record while ensuring the operations team continue to provide an outstanding and industry leading level of care to both our customers and their vehicles.
 

 Colin Melvin – Sales Director

Colin joined Fraikin in 2005 following the acquisition of Lex Transfleet, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in the commercial vehicle industry. During his time at Fraikin he has worked in senior operational and sales roles, with positions including General Manager for Fleet Management and Strategic Business Development Director, where his focus was on extending Fraikin’s presence with large corporate and public sector bodies.

 

In 2016 he took on the new role of Sales Director, with responsibility for contract hire, truck rental and fleet management. He is focused on creating tailored customer solutions, and delivering innovative new products and added value services – whilst working closely with Fraikin’s largest national customers.

 

 Jackie Headon – Head of Customer Services

Jackie has 35 years industry experience and joined Fraikin in 2005 following the acquisition of Lex Transfleet.

 

Since joining Fraikin Jackie has held various sales and operational roles including North Regional Director with responsibility for customer support, operations and multi-site workshops.

 

In 2016 she was appointed Head of Customer Service to drive the focus on service delivery and ensure we not only meet our customer expectations but exceed them.

 

 Henry Horsfall – Head of Human Resources

Henry was promoted to the Head of HR role in Feb 2017 after joining Fraikin 5 years ago as the HR Manager.

 

Henry is now working closely with the Management Team to develop our Organisational Structure and People to support our business ambitions.

 

Henry is CIPD qualified and brings with him a number of years HR experience from within the logistics industry having previously worked for Unipart Technology Logistics and Wincanton PLC.
