Peter Backhouse

Chief Executive Officer
Peter joined Fraikin in April 2010 to take on the role of CEO, after two years as Managing Director of Bunzl Healthcare Ltd, a subsidiary of Bunzl plc. Previously he’d spent 23 years within the transport and logistics sector, including seven as a Vice President and Managing Director responsible for a fleet totalling 15,000 vehicles. Peter is planning to build upon Fraikin’s continued growth in the UK market, whilst maintaining the company’s commitment to providing excellent customer service and expertly managed commercial vehicle fleet solutions.

Emmanuelle Kergoat

Chief Finance Officer
Emmanuelle joined Fraikin Ltd in November 2010 as Chief Finance Officer. Emmanuelle worked previously at Accenture France, part of the International Management Consulting Group, and before that she held senior financial positions within Parfums Christian Dior Group both in France and in the United States. Her expertise covers both financial performance management, ERP and financial systems implementation. As a Senior Consulting Manager for the last four years, Emmanuelle was directly involved in Sales development and Accounts management, and supervised several business transformation projects for various small to large companies in all industries. Emmanuelle has full responsibility for the Finance and the ICT Departments, and works closely with Group Finance to ensure that fiscal strategy is aligned to support growth, profitability and global performance objectives.

Mick Harrison

Commercial Director
Mick qualified as a Management Accountant in 1986 and then worked for the next 18 years in Third Party Logistics sector holding Business Services senior Finance roles both with TNT and the Hays Group, culminating with the role of Financial and Commercial Director in Hays Commercial Services. Following the disposal of Hays Commercial Services he acquired a personal controlling interest in a Midlands based Commercial Vehicle Contract Hire and Rental business in 2005. Mick joined Fraikin in December 2010 as Commercial Director and works closely with the finance, operational, and sales teams as well as customers to achieve our growth strategy. Mick is responsible for all commercial activities such as pricing and contract negotiations, and also manages Purchasing, the Vehicle Supply Chain and Used Vehicle Remarketing.

Mark Newnes

Operations Director
Mark joined Fraikin in 2004 as a Regional Manager, before taking on the role of Operations Director at the start of 2006. His expertise in the transport industry followed nine years at Healthcare Logistics where he was General Manager, responsible for eight depots, 350 staff and 150 trucks. At Fraikin, Mark has overall control of Fraikin’s busy rental operation, together with all non-dedicated workshops and the Coventry-based Customer Service Centre. He also heads-up Fraikin’s contract with Dumfries and Galloway Council which has set new standards in partnership working with the private sector.

David Farbon

Sales Director – Strategic Customers
David is the longest-serving member of Fraikin’s senior management team, having joined the company in 1992. His responsibilities include managing Fraikin’s largest contract with express parcels carrier City Link, as well as taking control of all commercial activity. He is also actively involved in business development opportunities in both the UK and internationally, chairing the company’s European Key Accounts Team. In 2007 he was elected to serve as Chairman of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association’s (BVRLA) Commercial Vehicle Committee for two years. He is currently enjoying a further year as Vice Chairman whilst also serving as a main board director of the BVRLA advising the board on commercial vehicle issues.

Eric Baley

UK Technical Director
Eric Baley joined Fraikin Limited in September 2010 as UK Technical Director and Deputy Group Technical Director.  He was previously employed by Fraikin Group in France where he has held various engineering positions for a number of years. Eric brings a wealth of technical expertise to the UK engineering function, and he leads a number of key initiatives targeted at further improving customer service levels, and driving consistent best practices and measures throughout the business.  Eric leads a strong engineering team who work closely with operational General Managers to ensure the very best technical execution of maintenance procedures across the UK Fraikin network.  He is responsible for all engineering policies and procedures, compliance, and resource deployment and training.

Peter Finburg

Human Resources Director
Peter Finburg arrived at Fraikin ahead of the major acquisition in late 2005, with a career including senior HR roles with BOC, Christian Salvesen and Dairy Crest. His particular expertise surrounding business transfers proved essential to the smooth transition which saw Fraikin relocate to its new headquarters in Coventry. In addition to his HR responsibilities, Peter has overseen Fraikin’s formation of a new training division and the company’s certification by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) as an approved Driver CPC training centre.
