Updated Driver CPC guidebook published by Fraikin
22 September 2008
Fraikin has launched an updated version of its Driver CPC guidebook – one of seven different titles in its hugely popular ‘What you need to know’ series of industry booklets.
Written in conjunction with Tim Blakemore, Editor of Transport Engineer, the booklet is designed to help transport companies, fleet managers and drivers understand the regulations surrounding the Drivers’ Certificate of Professional Competence.
Commenting on its launch, David Farbon, Commercial Director of Fraikin says: “Whilst there haven’t been any fundamental changes in the regulations since we launched the original guide there have been developments in the way they are being implemented in the UK, hence the need to produce this updated booklet.
“The 12 page document answers the basic who, why, what, where, when and how questions, whilst cutting out a lot of unnecessary industry jargon. It’s designed to bring any driver, transport manager or company boss fully-up-to-speed with this new legislation in a matter of minutes.”
More than 3,000 copies have already been mailed to Fraikin customers, and the guidebook is available to download free of charge from the Fraikin’s website by clicking here.
It joins a series of ‘What you need to know’ guidebooks which cover other core industry issues including digital tachographs, Euro 4/5, speed limiters, working time regulations, compulsory driver training and alternative fuels.
Its launch is also being used to publicise Fraikin’s own Driver CPC training courses which are being held at six locations across the UK, and which are open to both Fraikin customers and independent fleets. For further information on the training courses please click here.
