Loreburn Housing Association has renewed its commercial vehicle fleet with the delivery of 25 new 3.5-tonne vans, supplied into the business for the first time by Fraikin on a five-year full-service contract hire agreement.

Line-up of vans

Winning a competitive tender process, Fraikin was able to demonstrate an acute understanding of Loreburn Housing Association’s operations, including how it would use that knowledge to meet a range of specific key performance indicators designed to minimise downtime and ensure the availability of the fleet.

Billy Coupland, Head of Repairs & Maintenance, Loreburn Housing Association, says: “We are thrilled to partner with Fraikin for the first time on this latest vehicle order. The team’s expertise, industry understanding and commitment to customer service made them the ideal choice for us. The new vans will significantly enhance our operational efficiency, helping us to continue providing excellent support to all our valued tenants.”

Loreburn Housing Association’s repairs and maintenance team will use the new vehicles for the day-to-day care of more than 2,500 homes across Dumfries and Galloway.

Fraikin’s full-service contract hire package includes comprehensive servicing, repairs, road fund licensing, regular safety inspections, annual MOT testing, tyre management, roadside assistance, and 24/7, 365 customer service support – all designed to give Loreburn Housing Association total peace of mind and complete clarity on its fleet-related costs.

The vehicles are all equipped with Fraikin’s MYSMARTFLEET platform, which offers data-driven driver behaviour analysis and safety features such as instant crash alerts. Additional compliance support features, such as walkaround checks, are also included.

Loreburn Housing Association can also access Fraikin’s user-friendly online web portal, FRAIKinVIEW, which provides a complete overview of all scheduled maintenance work and the ability to track and monitor progress.

John Cooper, Business Development Manager at Fraikin, says: “It is a pleasure to welcome Loreburn Housing Association into the Fraikin fold as a new customer. As part of the tender process, we worked closely with their team to ensure that we were able to meet their very specific requirements.

“We look forward to a long and productive partnership and are committed to supporting their fleet needs with our innovative mobility solutions.”

Loreburn Housing Association is a registered charity and social landlord, originally founded in 1982 by the Loreburn Community Council.
