How Fraikin is supporting UK fleets this bank holiday weekend

Shortly, most of the country will be clocking off for the bank holiday weekend. However, in the logistics industry, there is no pause button.
Orders still need picking. Shelves still need stocking. Time-sensitive deliveries cannot wait until next Tuesday.
That’s why this week, I’ve been thinking about how every member of the team at Fraikin consistently pulls together to keep our customers moving, and I thought I’d share how we support every client 24/7, 365.

Always on hand
Key to Fraikin’s full-service contract hire and fleet management packages is our 24/7 Customer Service Centre – based at our Coventry headquarters – which offers round-the-clock access to a highly experienced team, one that fully understands the realities of commercial fleet operations and the pressures our customers face day-to-day.
This unrivalled support brings together customer service, leadership, regional operations management, field-based fleet maintenance, and dedicated account managers that work together to ensure optimal fleet performance.
Everyone is aligned around the same priorities of uptime, compliance and practical problem solving that helps our customers keep delivering.
Help on the go
Despite our proactive efforts, we’re acutely aware that unexpected issues are always likely to crop up.
To help counter this, we invested £1.5 million in 2025 to develop a UK-wide, in-house maintenance network that brings the tools, expertise and a first-class service directly to customers, whether on the roadside or on-site.
Our mobile technicians work across all vehicle types and marques, developing their skills to stay current with new technologies that are now embedded across modern fleets. All are trained to Level Two of the IMI IRTEC licensing scheme, while we have also introduced IMI Level Three EV training, alongside courses on temperature-controlled units and other specialist areas, to help us complete multiple jobs in a single visit, vitally reducing downtime.
Critically, our Mobile Technicians can work on customers’ existing Fraikin-supplied vehicles, as well as any LCVs owned outright in their fleets, all as part of our recently launched FleetCare service.
For the bigger jobs, we have also assembled a widespread approved repairer network to deliver consistent support across the UK. Combined with our in-house expertise, this means we can respond rapidly to routine maintenance and emergency repairs, maintaining service levels during peak demand.
If you’re one of the many people who will be keeping our country moving this long weekend, thank you.
Our team will be on hand too, doing what we do best.
